I've been looking for a ring modulator pedal for my guitar, but all the ones I can find are pretty expensive, the cheapest I can find being around $150. Does anyone know where I could find a mediocre Ring Modulator pedal for preferrably under $70? It would be really appreciated.

ring modulators ARE FOR PEOPLE WITH MONEY.

if you're gonna get one, go big and get a moogerfooger. You'll impress the neighbors.

You sure you want one? They don't really do a lot, and the ones which do the interesting things tend to be more expensive (like the Ring Stinger)

When I saw 'last posted by DeviousJ' next to Music and News Discussion I knew it was going to be about guitars

That's what Mark's using it for. Are the other threads about Sony stereos because that's what the thread poster listens to their music on?

Actually, I've kinda just said FU to Ring Modulators, and I've always wanted to try an EBow, and they're only like 80 bucks, so I think I might get one. Then I can be in Sigur Ros!

You'd be better off with a violin bow for that - especially if you want to do some Godspeed.

Here, make your own RM

I use a Gonkulator. It's alright. It's very limited, but it was cheap. I think they might be kinda rare now though. Anyway, fuck ring modulators. You'll only use it once in a while and it won't be worth it.

But what about your noise projects?

Apply it to a keyboard for those stupid 'forensic detective hour' shows where they have the suspense music, of course

I want to stand on 6th Street with a heavily amplified ring-modulated keyboard, sustain one note, and open and close my mouth and move my free hand up and down to mimick the sweep.
