This was a smart move to put this up two days, less terorrist attacks.

It's a russian propaganda poster for the 1st five year plan. It says something like: "help build the giant factories!"

Just to add: I have a coffee table book full of mid-20s-30s Russian propaganda ... Russia is responsible for the greatest governmental artwork in the world's history.

that was eerily close to "faggotry", sppunk. please, keep that stuff on the gen chat board.

AND YOU CALL YOURSELF A MOD!

(sorry)

Yeah, I agree on the Soviet governmental artwork. I'm a sucker for that whole aesthetic/style. I really like all those creepily heroic statues they had goin' on there.

I also think that Colin's affinity for that kinda stuff is pretty damned ironic...

Kind of... although I loved the stuff long before I knew who made it and when. IT's just beautiful.

And, I thought I would share this little tidbit with you. Not even five years ago, I wholeheartedly felt that the government should be in charge of all vehicles and distribute them according to the needs of the people. The cars shoudl all be painted the same color and full ymanufactured by the government to keep costs down. Most people, I think, forget that just a few years ago I was quite a socio-communalist.

(Yes that is "communalist")

Basically the trasformation happened because I realized that the immidiate benefits of a theory, practice, method or law did not rationalize it's adoption. From there, the rest was just using reason over emotion.
