View Full Version : Ashcroft refusing to give up docurments pertaining to torture...
BeautifulLoser 06-08-2004, 03:43 PM This place has been dead here lately...
So Ashcroft is refusing to hand over any documents after it was found that there were memos circulated saying that the law against torture was "unconstitutional" because sometimes torture is necessary to get information about national security. They played the clip of Ashcroft in front of congress on the radio this morning... he was pretty adamant about not giving up any information on the subject.
Thoughts? (I can't find the link on CNN, and I have homework to do... I heard it on the radio and on CNN just now)
Mr. Rhinoceros 06-08-2004, 10:31 PM <font color=#007AAA face="courier new">Ashcroft is a shithead, always has been, always will be. I don't think he's even familiar with the constitution if he thinks barring torture is unconstitutional. What a nimwit.</font>
tweedyburd 06-08-2004, 10:51 PM Apparently there are a lot of rumors going around in Washington that he will step down if/when Bush is re-elected.

<font color=#007AAA face="courier new">He should never have been appointed in the first place. An obvious move to cater to the religious right.
"We'll get that bug-eyed Bauer guy off your back if you agree to put a good christian in your cabinet, Mr. Bush."</font>
The Omega Concern 06-10-2004, 10:12 AM He's got about the most difficult job in the world at present.
And Bush-haters like Mr. Rhino here are part of the difficulty mainly because their perception is so skewed by their hatred of one man, that they vainly try to show they care about Iraqi detainees out of some compassion they think they have but the Bushy's don't.
spare us.
And that, is your democratic party and their allies in the media in a nutshell.

You have got to be a troll. I demand to know who you are.
You only post in this forum... explain yourself.
The Omega Concern 06-10-2004, 04:03 PM Im being branded with a "paranoia" label by some in here because of my rhetoric on Marxism and its influence on our culture.
But to believe John Ashcroft has my freedoms on a rope and that somehow he's tying his noose to come get me or you, that's reasonable?
Im open to consider it, but it needs a better explanation then "Bush is dumb, Ashcroft is evil" or whatever...

<font color=#007AAA face="courier new">I don't. I have very little compassion in general. I do have an acute sense of justice and I know what the constitution says.
I don't know if you got the gist of my post but I'd like to see Bush out of office and Ashcroft dead. So it's not just one man that I hate.</font>
