What right now is the one CD in your collection that you would recommend to any and everyone? You can only pick one, so no lists.

For me, the winner is:

Caia - The Magic Dragon

It is so damn good, it will give you orgasms. Guaranteed!

You can hear 30 second clips of each song here (http://www.33rpm.com/index.php?page=detail&id=3074) . It stinks, the label used to have full songs of each CD they released as recently as April, but they decided to stop doing that. So unfortunately, you will only get 30 seconds of each song. But yeah it is awesome. Downtempo electronic, great music to relax, drive, mount, etc, to.

Only heard a couple of Nightmares on Wax songs so I am not going to refute your claim. Do you consider Groove Armada rip off artists as well?

Just wondering, have you listened to the Caia album beyond the 25 second clips?

You'll probably all laugh, but blink-182's self-titled 2003 release. It surprised the hell out of me the first time I heard it.

Download "Violence", "Easy Target", and "All of This", and see if you look at them the same way.

no i think surfer rosa is all filled with great songs. except tonys theme. this song's so lame...

mm... the thread name says "current favourite cd" and not "favourite cd of all time" so i think i have to go with sonic youth's new album.

And besides who said there has to be a certain date period from which a CD is released?

The thread said CURRENT and those just happen to be it.
