They are the supergroup that audioslave failed to be. I can't wait for the album to be leaked.

Let the hating begin!

I'd hate to be the tour manager and have to keep all these people off heroin. Madness.

the show has to be over by 10 due to scott's probation.

i think STP need to get back together and this Velvet Revolver thing needs to come to an end.

I think they've already made themselves be better than what Audioslave has turned out to be. Velvet Revolver isn't bad enough for anyone to start not liking the respective bands older stuff but Audioslave can ruin old Soundgarden and RATM records in a flash.

yeah I much rather see STP together and in concert. Scott just has become a lost cause, I just gave up on him after the millionth over-dose that when he finally does die it won't come as a surprise. The only surprise might be if he does somehow non-drug related.

have u people heard their single????
it suuuuuuuuks!
this band is totally lame. how can u make a "supergroup" out of some washed up G'nR guys & a washed up druggie from the overratted band STP????

besides, GNR is overrated too... they made one good album. use your illusion wouldn't even have been 1 good CD, let alone 2

i heard them on stern and they seem pretty cool to me. i never liked stp much but i think scott is a great front man. i love the gun n roses guys.

I just watched them on David Letterman, and they weren't half bad. I'll probably buy the CD because I am a diehard GNR fan, but the sound isn't exactly my favorite. I really want to see this band do something though, because Slash and Duff are too good to not be making music.

Now if they came out and started jamming the 2 bands old tunes...THEN i might start having serious issues with them.

I saw the video....fucking awful. Horrible single.

That being said it would probably be a fun live show for kicking ass and acting stupid.

What is wrong with Audioslave? They were so hyped and then the album was just kind of meh. I never had a problem with it, I though it was a good album but the group was just kind of a dissappointment. Hopefully their second effort will be much better.

They were hyped. I agree. Does that make it a bad band? Maybe they were more hyped in America then they were in the Netherlands, I don't know. But still I love to listen to it and do this:

scott weiland is still trying to do eddie vedder's voice, ten years after the fact. what the hell! just overdose or kill someone and go to jail or something. for more than six weeks.

I have about 5-6 live hows by them on my hard drive right now, I kind of listened to one but I was at the time so I did'nt really catch enough to judge the new songs. All I can says is when they play STP the songs sound about a 100 times better then STP ever did.

I dunno'... I heard VR version of Interstate Love Song and Scott's vocals were sounding sub par.

The No.4 era version of ILS is the best IMO.

yeah, stone temple pilots were always posers. yes, they had a few singalongs, but overall, they suuuuuked. but at least these fools are out trying to do something, unlike good ole boy axl rose. he has got to be one of the most pathetic people in rock history. 13 years after their last cd, there are still millions of idiots who swear by GN'R. this guy had it made & blew it.

Sorry if I generic, alt-rock rehash played by has beens isn't really my idea of a good time. If it wasn't for catching the video by accident on TV I would figured it was just Switchfoot or whatever else they play on VH1 these days.

Hooray for 1995!

This is comparing apples to oranges, but what the hell:

"Dancing Queen" is singlehandedly ten times better than the entire Velvet Revolver catalog. And I haven't even heard the entire Velvet Revolver catalog.

I get what you're saying and I don't really know what kind of music you listen to, but damn, I'd much rather listen to guys who know the ropes and have a love for the music than some even more generic modern fare that's on the radio now. Some of yesterday's has beens can beat the shit out of today's never-will-bes.

Pretty much exactly what I thought when I heard them, right down to the year. But, I don't necessarily think its bad that they sound like they stepped out of 1995. 1995 was a good year. It was the year I finally started to get into some good music...so yeah, my point is that I won't write VR off just yet. If they can do generic mid-90's alternative well, then they'll already be better than every band in the last 6-7 yrs that has tried.

They played the entire album on the local rock station while I was at work last night. After hearing it once, I will be purchasing the album. There are a couple ballads that just sound cheesy (meaning one of them will probably be a fucking radio hit because all the girly girls will want to hear it), but other than that, I enjoyed it. A couple tracks sounded like STP, a couple like GNR, and a couple like their own band. It's a nice meld. The album's 10 bucks at Target and Best Buy, so it's not much to lose if I end up not liking it after a few listens.

They said they took their inspiration for writing the single on the Hulk movie from the movie itself. I'm sure that'll be a winner!
