Killing Joke - their "Nighttime" album is so great all around and there latest with Dave Grohl on drums also noteworthy. The Stills The Pillows - a j-rock band The The Kenna - Saw him open for Fischerspooner and blew me away, the first time I went to a concert and the opening band didn't suck plus his video for "Hell Bent" is too cool.
