Yes, she plays guitar on almost every track on the album. <img src=http://forums.netphoria.org/attachment.php?s=&postid=948977/img> from 02.06.02 i wanna die 05-12-2004, 10:29 AM guitar and bass skills are usually interchangeable. before jimmy page played bass for the yardbirds he had never touched a bass guitar in his life mirrar 05-12-2004, 10:56 AM the single is really quite bad. does the rest of it suck as well? Both instruments have different theory behind them but usually a guitarist learns both while a bass player only learns bass, usually lacking the chord knowledge and lead skills to effectively play guitar. But this is all assuming the music they are playing takes a little skill to produce, often these days it does not. Isle 05-12-2004, 11:36 AM it's an age-old fact, guitar is harder/more useful than bass. the guy who played bass in my band until recently used to pick up my guitar when we took breaks and he just strummed the shit out of it- his "lead" lines were audible but guitar takes more finger-precision than bass so all he could do was thrash open strings. that's cool melissa plays guitar though. can you imagine if she had tagged along with zwan?? Maybe guitar is more useful if you are in a pop/punk/emo/indie/numetal band. Ever listen to jazz? Ever heard a "walking" bassline? Just because pop artists relegated the bass to neanderthal levels doesn't mean it can't be as useful.
