Yeah I know, welcome to 2003.
I've been having an aversion to album hype for a while now so I'll find myself loving albums only until way after the initial hype has settled down. Enter Clearlake. This happened with Mt. Eerie as well. Anyway, I really love the way Jason sings. His voice is beautiful but that's not what I'm really talking about. I'm talking about his unique singing patterns. The Mind Is Evil & I'd Like To Hurt You are perfect examples of songs in which he does these unique singing patterns and in turn they end up being my favorite songs.
I look forward to hearing their next album, a year after it's been released.
