the other night at Trivia, there was a three-way tie for first and our team ("Friendly Athletic Guys," AKA "The Friendly Athletic Guy Syndicate" AKA "Flippant Acronym Guild") won
the final category was really weird...he played clips from 4 Nirvana songs and you had to put the album they were on
1. Rape Me
2. On a Plain
3. Love Buzz
4. Pennyroyal Tea

Normally I would say Nevermind but I'm probably so tired of hearing the songs on the first half, so I suppose In Utero.

nirvana is a musical emulation of darwinism; it evolves with each successive endeavour. thus their artistic peak--i beleive--is their latest effort--in utero: the tapestry of sonic early nineties crunchiness that comes out the door swinging, if only to be fatigued shortly after--around say, track 5...?---into a vast duldrum of angsty plateaus *cough* culturally overated band(butyouknewallalonghaventyou?) *cough*

in utero i think is their most creative album and best encompasses what they wanted to do. and it's my favorite.
ryan patrick has argued with me that incesticide is their most creative work and therefore their best but i think the best songs on there are the simplest; the other ones tend to plod. except for maybe aneurysm. good stuff.

I've thought about it and I can't decide. I don't own Incesticide and it's been way too long since I've heard it, so I'm going to pick up a copy soon. I went with In Utero for the sake of voting, since it's likely my favorite.
