Mine is 10 because it came out when I was 17. That was the best year of my life.

Is that why you’re here? Trying to recapture the allure of youth by superimposing it on others and trying desperately to fit in with a group who has an average age of 17?

Should I not be bringing this shit to the music board too?

Vitalogy, actually.
It's the only PJ album I owned.

If we're listing:

Yield
Ten
Vs.
Riot Act
Vitalogy
Binaural
No Code

I haven't listened to LD enough to rank it... as of now it'd probably be after Vitalogy.

I listened to Binaural recently and realized how unimpressive it is. "Of the Girl" just might be my favorite Pearl Jam song ever, but most of the album isn't anything spectacular. NAIS is good, Parting Ways... Breakerfall is a good opener. Other than that... blah.

The only song on No Code I'd listen to regularly is Who You Are. That album does nothing for me.

Yield is my favorite album.

Ten came out when you were 17?

if i've done the math correctly you are 63?

Yield and Ten are my favourites. I bet most of the others are nice too. Pearl Jam doesn't get very much more than just nice to me.

I think Binaural is suh an underrated record. It's the most like Vitalogy in sound as for any other album they've done.

despite its low position on my list, i agree that Binaural is really underrated. it was the album that first got me interested in them. finally.

Eh. Lyrically, maybe. I liked Insignificance at first. The more I heard it, though, the more I realized it wasn't anything "new" from them, I'd heard the song before. A casual listener might think Insig. and Grievance are the same song.

Songs like Of the Girl, NAIS, Sleight of Hand (also You Are and Bushleaguer) at least were something different for them as a band and I grew to like those much quicker.

Based on that you'd think No Code would be higher on my list as it was basically wholly different than anything they had done to that point. But I think that album just sounds too much the same throughout the record. I'd fall asleep to it. Yeah, there's Hail Hail, Habit, and Lukin, but 8 minutes of  out of a 45 minute album just isn't going to keep me when I'm used to hearing straight up RnR from them.

I really can't understand why anyone likes Bu$hleager.. I mean, it's basically just talking. Remember "I'm Open" on No Code? Yeech.

I haven't listened to any of the last three more than 3 times. I didn't like them at all really. Maybe I should give them another chance.

Yes, you should. Those three albums are my favorite PJ albums. They each are amazing. And fuck you asses who say that Binaural is bad. It's all about good music.
