SG Boi 04-20-2004, 08:22 AM Originally posted by strange_one they were ok 6 years ago ehhhhhh, shut up Standards and the new one are still pretty good. Obviously Millions Now Living and T.N.T. were their peak, but come on there's nothing really wrong with either of the subesquent albums cap'n jazz 04-20-2004, 08:27 AM Standards was a wee bit boring for me :( hupette gros 04-20-2004, 09:13 AM saw tortoise few days go in montreal, i was completely amazed. McEntire is crazy on the drums. all their album are excellent, but i still haven't heard It's All Around You in its entirely. TNT should be a good start, or Millions. sledge 04-20-2004, 09:16 AM Standards distance 04-20-2004, 09:54 AM Originally posted by Sehki I've never listened (though I'm sure I should), but hey: http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/news/04-04/19.shtml#story3 i like tortoise. i'll be seeing them saturday and sunday. sarasvati 04-20-2004, 10:01 AM tortoise kicks ass. cap'n jazz 04-20-2004, 10:10 AM 06-28 Glasgow, Scotland - Arches WHO'S GOING MOTHERBITCHES!!1 Glare Seethe 04-20-2004, 11:08 AM "TNT" is one of my top ten favorite albums, and Tortoise in general are one of my favorite bands. I'll have to try and see if I can get to one of the European shows in July, namely Amsterdam, but it's unlikely cause I think that's exactly when all my exams are. Oh well. Brandont_h 04-22-2004, 04:20 PM I am just about to take the plastic off my new vinyl copy of "It's All Around You". I haven't heard anything from this except live, so my fingers are crossed. C33 04-23-2004, 12:49 PM John McEntire of Tortoise has produced a record for this norwegian postrock band Salvatore. checkemout.
