Why doesn't anyone else like this album? And why isn't it cool to like it...I like it a lot actually.

Um... I thought this was one of those "hipster rediscovery" records that people DID like now. I know I like most of it. There were better overlooked albums though.

It might not be sappy enough for Shaunna, but I find the folkiness and arrangments similar to Belle and Sebastian. You may or may not like it I dunno.

i thought everyone liked this album.

the new calexico EP has a cover of "Alone Again Or" that sounds exactly like the original.

The Kinks albums from that period...the aforemetioned Red Krayola...Tim Buckley's Goodbye and Hello.... Um, I mostly know British stuff from that era. I don't know if it would be fair to go into that though since we're talking about an American band.

i think its gotten a significant number of new fans since the 2000 or 2001 reissue

i like it a lot, though my favorite Love song, always see your face, is on Four Sail.

finally listening to it now - it reminds me of michael andrews, for some reason. i.e. too sad at times, but i like it a lot.
