May 1 - SAERC - Port Hawkesbury, NS

I was at the March 20th show and he never fails to impress. One of the most competant and entertaining guitar players and singers I know of. Cover would probably only be $5-$8 and it would be well worth it. I am extremely excited about the Wolfville show.
PS Phaedrus you should definitly go to the Grad House show.

Here's a pic I took at the show:

cool, I'm glad some people outside of NS have heard of him. He has a cult following here and his shows are always packed bt it would be nice for him to get some exposure outside of the east coast. Thanks for the compliment on the picture. I filled my 256 mb memory card with 180 pics and 19 videos. I thought that was the best one.
For Shaunna:

Oh yeah, if someone would be willing to tape the show, um that would extremely cool. I'd pay for your ticket or something. I don't think there are any JPE boots circulating at all and I would love to get one.

has anyone heard of the jimmy swift band from halifax? half of their stuff is kinda technoey, but there's some stuff which is pretty good.

If you find someone to tape him, that would rule.
You will unknowingly run into tons of my friends at the show, it will rock my friend.

Teh harder rock:
written all over me
come on, teacher
extraordinary

teh lesser rock:
down at the khyber
clueless wonder
radio fly

acoustic:
the news of your son
weigh it down
light of the moon

I'll note that while his albums aren't lacking anything (I personally don't like the production on "Down at the Khyber"), his live shows are about 10x better. He is one of the most impressive live acts I have seen. Lots of rocking out, solos, and just a lot of fun. More than likely he will also play some old thrush hermit songs, so you may want to check out stuff like "From the Back of the Film", "The day we hit the coast", "before you leave" (which he plays acoustic now), and North Dakota.
