View Full Version : What is America's Sandwich?

I constantly ask people I know or first meet what they think is America's sandwich. Grilled cheese and PBJ variations seem to rule out, though I have been argued to that BLTs and Hamburgers, despite not being a sandwich by name, are still inbetween 2 slices of bread.

What's your thoughts?

America's sandwich is the hamburger or cheeseburger.

However, the tastiest on that list is the BLT. I suppose the bacon cheeseburger is better than both because it's the best of both worlds, but everyone knows the best cooked meat in the world is bacon.

Indeed. I love to just cook up a solid pound of bacon and eat it all right then and there.
Pretty much anything can be made even better with bacon and melted cheese.

I think "Ham/Cheeseburger" comes really close...

But I think I'm gunna go with BLT on this one.

The hamburger was invented 20 miles away from where I currently live.

cool.

i only based the options off of a typical american's childhood foods. pulled pork and hotdogs go with the hamburger variations if you were wondering.
