Which of the blue skies bring tears versions is your fav. Discuss.
While talking about blue skies bring tears, i've heard 4 vesions, the machina, the machina II, the acoustic and then another one which i cant quite indentify, its played like the machina version but with clean guitars, bass and vox. Anyone know what this is, a demo?

The Arising! Version is the other version. It is also my favorite.
There are more than 4 versions of that song.
The Machina and Machina II versions, The Arising!, The acoustin solo demos, the live 2000 version and the acoustic full band storytellers version come to mind. I am pretty sure that is all the variations on that song, but there could be more.

probably the demo from the FAEOMM tape (ends with "aahhh, aaaahhh aahhhh...").
also, there are two different acoustic demos, plus several different live versions:
the Arising! tour (most similar to the FAEOMM tape, but faster and with big jam at the end),
Resume The Pose tour (basically identical to MACHINA album),
Cat's Cradle (one-time only, just Billy on piano),
early Sacred + Profane tour (like RTP, but the end speeds up, with just Billy singing and Jimmy's drums, then goes into something like the MACHINA 2 version),
late Sacred + Profane tour (starts like RTP, speeds up halfway through to something like the Arising! version),
Storytellers/euro S+P tour (acoustic guitars, piano and keyboard, ends with Jimmy's drum solo [except Storytellers, of course]).

probably the demo from the FAEOMM tape (ends with "aahhh, aaaahhh aahhhh...").
Commonly known as Arising! Tour version.
MUCH better than that overproduced monstrosity on Machina.

it's commonly called that, but it's significantly different from the version they played on the Arising! tour.
i much prefer the monstrosity, myself.

I wish the Machina version exploded into the MII version. Imagine.

I could do it but it wouldn't be a smooth transition. Maybe someone else can do a good one.

FAEOMM tape version is my favorite studio version, but I love the US Machina tour live versions with the crazy guitar solo at the end.

Machina 2 - easy no brainer. How anyone could like the sludge of the M1 version over the rockiness of the M2 version is beyond me.
