i bought something once called futurama (ok, i know it's a cartoon, but it was something similar to that) by some buffalo collective. it was like that. i remember the telephone ringing 'song' in particular. no wait. futurismo? maybe that was it.

i like them quite a bit. the most comparable group i can think of is max tundra. only schneider tm is more IDM-y and the songs are longer.

Any of the Alan Lomax recordings will knock your socks off. I recommend the Southern Journey series.
