View Full Version : New Canadian 100 Dollar bill.
Fall Down Blue 01-29-2004, 11:50 AM For all you big ballaz and big time hustlers like me, this is what we're gonna have in our wallets soon (March 7th). Well, at least when I'm visiting Canada. I love Borden's, it's for sure my fav bill. I like the old one better.

sawdust restaurants 01-29-2004, 11:50 AM Sweet. More firestarters for us Yanks.
Fall Down Blue 01-29-2004, 11:54 AM Ahaha, cmon man, thats gonna cost ya 78$ U.S. right there, and in a few months, it might be worth MORE than your U.S. 100$ dolla holla bill.
funnygeezus 01-29-2004, 11:55 AM who fucking cares? you aren't going to be able to use it anywhere besides a bank. at least that's what it's like here, most places won't even take a 50.
Lizzy Lover 01-29-2004, 11:56 AM much better then ours, our money is so ugly!
machinaddict 01-29-2004, 11:57 AM I thought they were phasing out the $100 instead of bringing in a new one. Same thing with the $50 in like 5 years.
But as for places not taking it, more business will start accepting them again because they are way harder to forge than the last bills.
What do the new $20s look like?

that's nice and all, but it's going to take years to get the old bills out of circulation. even longer since no one takes them. unless places start taking ONLY the new bills...

Dumb cunt. These are gonna be fucking TOUGH to counterfeit. This is the only reason they made a new bill, so that businesses can start accepting them again. Check out the anti-counterfeit features...

I wouldn't put it past them to accept only new ones. There would also be more incentive for people to exchange their old bills for new ones if they can't use the old ones anywhere.

I don't think any of us Canucks give a fuck or know anyone on your US bills, apart from the one with clinton on it...
in other news, 6-7 US soldiers killed today in Iraq. :p

sir wilfred laurier is a mad pimp, yo.
Canada comes thru with the monopoly money once again!
Lizard Queen 01-29-2004, 09:52 PM Stores don't accept the stupid $100 bill cause they're a pain in the ass to break when you're buying stuff. For stores that conduct most of their business with credit and debit cards, a $100 bill in the till at night is horrible.
Andrew_Pakula 01-30-2004, 12:42 AM The new bill looks too brown.

at first i was insulted by this comment, but as i thought about it more, i realized that this was sadly true.
canadians are so ignorant of their history. i wish we took more pride in it. maybe like those asshole americans....unless of course it made us into assholes too.

What I remember of Canadian history from, like, Grade 8 and a little bit of high school is.
- "Welcome to our KANADA" "Yes, he means the country, I know these things."
- french came over first
- brits come over and kick thier asses
- the french are pissed
- upper and lower canada
- buncha other provinces
- the french are still pissed
- brits split from revoultionaires and hide up here durring US revolt
- the Charter of Rights and Freedoms
- the french are still pissed
- FLQ Crisis
- The shit goes down in Quebec with Treudau declaring the War Measures Act because of the FLQ
- The French are still pissed
- Canadian Idol premiers on CTV.
Though the only badass part of our history is burning down the friggin US White House. Whoot. Take THAT!
