Does anyone know if there will be any chance in hell either will see the light of day through either an official or bootleg release?
I rented Spun tonight for the second time and I still love it. The soundtrack just makes me a little upset, though. a lot of those Djali songs wont be heard in their entirety for a really long time. it's some really fucking beautiful stuff and it just makes me plain sad.

The plan was to start recording stuff for the DVd in september, since the band brooke up long before that nothing ever got recorded.

Then when was the stuff for Spun recorded? Along with the album material?

possibly in florida when paz joined. They went into the studio down there and recorded some demos.

And, it will surface. Everything surfaces. The only question is if we will be too old to appreciate it when it does.

he'll probably use some of it for his solo album, even if it is just bsides to that. i went back and listened to indy 2001 and i forgot how many djali songs there were. i really liked pony express, careless love, roma girl.

This is what I'm optimistic for too, in terms of the "chicago/illinois" record. This era was so terrific, and those songs for that movie were so sweet, I'm really hopeful that we'll see it all one day. What I'm afraid is working against us is the apparent souring of the zwan/strawberry relationship that could have ruined the drive to do anything with the stuff that they did. Ah. It was so nice. When Zwan broke up I was sad about alot of things, but I was especially sad about never seeing them revisit the Djali setting again.
