Radiohead ripped off The Beatles

the riff on Wolf at the Door is almost identical to the one on Beatles' I Want You

especially live, for example listening to this recording of Vancouver 30/8/2003 is shocking how the guitar sounds EXACTLY the same as on the studio Beatles recording.

You see, I always thought it was the other way around.

yeah, i noticed that, but it's not like running through arpeggios of chords is that uncommon, and the two songs basically don't sound anything alike, so i'm not too concerned about it.

a wolf at the door's beginning sounds a lot like the beginning to you never wash up after yourself which bothered me.

you can only pick through a D minor in so many ways.

True.

It's ridiculous that anyone would ever be bothered by this because the D minor arpeggio is such a common idiom in music.

I dare you to download and listen to that version of Wolf At The Door (Vancouver, 30th of august 2003) that I am quoting here

the beginning (good 2 minutes of the guitar, if not longer) it's not 'similar' to Beatles' I Want You: it's shockingly identical

I've heard it, fucktard. Of course they're identical. THEY'RE PICKING THROUGH THE SAME DAMN CHORDS, YOU FUCKING DAGO WOP FUCKSTICK. THE MELODY OF THE BEATLES SONG IS A LOT DIFFERENT THAN THE "MELODY" OF THE RADIOHEAD SONG. THE DRUMMING IS DIFFERENT. AARRGH.

Jesus. Stop making my people look like idiots, you effete anti-hipster, you. I swear to God, we should ban you for being so fucking stupid.

This would be the perfect spot to post your picture, but I'll refrain.

exactly. the picking pattern on that song could sound like anything. i'll just play around with chords picking through them and it'll start reminding me of wolf at the door. or apparently this beatles. song. i'll have to listen to it. i don't think i've heard it.

which pretty much makes my argument null and void.
