Ok, so what if the first two are the best movies ever made, and then the third one is just awful?

Fuck, I'll still go with The Godfather.

This poll really needs to be expanded. That "other" category *******s at least 3 or 4 viable contenders that deserve to be listed on their own.

The Molly Trilogy (Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink)

Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy

actually the winner is probably the colors trilogy by Kieslowski (Blue, White, Red), but i've only seen Blue.

I don't know of any movie that I thought had carried its excellence through to the third installment.

The Crow? Maybe if you ignore the last two.

Jurassic Park? The latter two were horrendous, which was surprising at least because I considered the follow-up novel to be remotely on par with the original.

How many Poltergeists and Psychos were there, about half a dozen each?

That's actually a pretty good pick, too. Good call.

If you don't pick Star Wars then you're a communist terrorist baby-killer iraqi regime loyalist.

Ok, this gets my vote. And then I quit. Indy all the way. I swear. I am NOT going to change my mind on this one.
