I was drenched this morning. We were rowing into the rain, the rain was blowing into us, we were going fast. The rowers had their backs to it, but it was pounding me in the face, my face was dripping and my jacket was soaked. I need a better, warmer jacket.

suggestions?

yeah but they're not warm.

right now I wear:

my spandex jl crew long sleeve shirt
tshirt
long sleeve tshirt
long sleeve thermal shirt
hoodie
fleece lined jacket
beanie
soft-inside spandex tights
track pants

I'm still cold. I'd like a warmer jacket with wind/rain protection so I dont have to wear AS many layers. or at least be warmer with the layers that I'm already wearing.

I am telling you, Costco! they have some really greay jackets there right now.

a s/o is also a good item to have to keep you warm.. unless they take heat away :erm

awesome. yes. I think I'm going to go to REI or something and just check it out. We're getting our team rowing jackets eventually, but probably not until january. Those fuckers are expensive, too. like $200.

They make really good jackets, although if you are spending that much on one in a month, you may as well wait.

yeah but the jackets we're getting aren't WARM jackets. They're like...splash jackets. windbreakers.

Go to a surf shop or snowboard shop... if there is one in your area.

i wear a garbage bag.
it's good cause it covers most of my legs, which my previous raincoats did not.
also it was cheap as hell. and compact.
