Remember when they opened for the Pumpkins during the 1999 Arising tour? I remember I was involved with plenty of others as we booed them couldn't wait for them to end (Phoenix, AZ). They were horiible. Now everytime I see one of their reviews in music mags, they are appraised. Their new single is crap and sounds like so many other bands.

Oh yeah, this guy in front of me at the show kept screaming that they were Pearl Jam knockoffs.

Do you guys like them?

QOTSA fucking rock. Pearl Jam ripoffs? HARDLY.
Im surprised at how many people here say they were horrible during the 1999 arising tour (which i didn't get to go to  ) and are now fans of em. QOTSA rule anyways.

WOW this is like my first post in the SP board in the LONGEST time.

they are appraised

Just out of curiosity, how much were they appraised for? I think they're worth a whole hella lot...

SPreality obviously needs to learn some vocabulary. Appraised can also mean someone has given someone or something merit.
Please stop assuming you are smart, you obviously are not.

Sorry man, you're wrong. Appraisal is purely a judgement, positive or negative.

He used appraisal in the correct way. You then said it ALSO could be used in the same way as the word 'praise', which is wrong. That's why I corrected you. Anything else you need clearing up while I'm here?

I've listened to the first few tracks on songs for the deaf and it seems good so far.. I do remember everyone talking about how shite they were during arising! though.
