How much do you guys think Billy is worth *already see's perveted jokes ahead*. I'm sure he is a multi-millionaire...but is he in the tens of millions or what? I'm sure this is an impoosible question to anwer, but I'm sure an educated guess can be made.
I've been watching VH1's "the fabolous life of..." [hey, it was the only thing on!], and Britney was worth like 50 million. Granted Billy has sold nowhere hear as many records as she has (or has he?) and he doesnt get the endorsement dough she does, so I doubt he has anymore than $15 million (which is still a shitload).
So my guess would be around $8-10 million...

I'd say 20-30 mil. He played 900+ shows with SP so that would be tons o $$$. (especially MCIS through Machina days)

In the Sound Opinions interview, which is probably the best interview with Billy I've ever heard, Billy talked a little about making money during concerts. He said that if you can have a good contract going, then the band can walk away with about $500k per concert. So divided by the 4 members of the Pumpkins, that's about $125k per show during the Infinite Sadness tour. And during the Siamese Dream tour, they probably made anywhere between $25k-75k each, per concert. All the proceeds during the Adore tour were given to charities, but I'm guessing the band probably made about $400k per concert during the Machina tour. My numbers are obviously complete guesses based on what Billy said in the interview. Add allllll that money to the money received from record sales and miscellaneous things, and then subtract all the stuff Billy's purchased in the last 15 years, and I'd guess that Billy has at least $15-20 million dollars sitting in the bank, and he'll probably still be a millionaire well into his 50's.

it's hard to say, but i think it would be fair to say $20. of course we don't know how the band splits up the money, but you have to think every album went platinum except machina. plus we don't really know any of his other business ventures or investments.

did you go to any of the machina shows? although they had no opening bands to pay they were probably only getting 75-125k total per show. in fact seems like i remember the check to elon homes for kids or whatever it was in charlotte being about 100k. i suppose during mcis they could've gotten a half mil at the big shows, but they did have opening bands then. i know my ticket wasnt over 50 bucks for that and there's the ticketmaster fee to take out, venue fee, all other sorts of crap i'd be very surprised if they got more than 20 bucks per ticket, and they weren't packin 25thou people at their shows, maybe 20thou at the big ones. i think i remember it was over 12thousand in chapel hill in 96

There are other promotional revenue items to think about. I.E., every somewhat major concert in Chicago is sponsored by at least one of the radio stations....the sponsorship, I would think, is where the bands really make their money...not just off of ticket sales.
