not asked him for anything. no autograph, picture. and i dont mean like you met him once and got a picture but didnt the next time. i've never asked for anything but i did get to play with him so maybe that's not fair.

if i met him i wouldn't ask him for anything, maybe say hi, shake hands, but that is it. i would never ask anyone for an autograph. i don't see the point in them

I talked to him very briefly after the zwan show in toronto in march...I shook his hand...didn't ask for any pictures or autographs because I already have a few autographs and he seemed to be in a hurry.

I met Billy and Jimmy the night before a signing in Boston and did not ask for anything because I was getting their autographs the next day. If I did have a camera, however, I would have asked for a picture with them.

I've met him twice and never asked for anything.

I have never met him, but he walked past me at the back door of Glass House and I felt excited like a girl. I felt stupid afterwards.

I met Billy at the San Diego signing and got my Adore booklet signed, shook his hand, but that doesn't count. But I also met him before the Seattle Zwan show. Didn't ask him for anything.

let's see. i went to about 4 aftershows and a soundcheck and was around him quite a bit and never asked for an autograph or a picture.

at the autograph signing, he just took my poster and signed it. i didn't really ask for it.

i acted like a fucking idiot though. i get starstruck way too easily by him.

I met him at the Metro aftershow party, and I just asked to shake his hand. I like that better than a autograph actually.

if i ever did get to meet him all i would want to say is , "thanks for the great music. it really does mean a lot to me." that's all i'd really want to do. Shake his hand or somthing.

yeah , more SP. great for me personally - but i know a lot of intelligent people who hate SP with a passion. I studied classical piano for 10 (horrendous) years. I know Beethoven :rolleyes:

but yea, even without that i wouldnt ask anyway. i do though have a pic of me with ben folds only because my friend's mom (who imagines herself a groupie hoe to bands like live and, well im guessing nickelback) happened to be there at the same time and was all (boston/new jersey accent) "lemme get a picture of you all!"

actually, you know i dont even know where that picture is anymore... i got barry and bobby bonds' autograph in 91 at a card show. i've been meaning to locate that ever since bobby died.

anyway my basic point is, i dont really think its right to ask for a picture because that's only either proof to your friends that you met them, or some sort of sick (and common) personal boost to yourself- "my life sucks. but look! there i am standing next to a famous person!" eh, but im not really trying to make a big deal of it. in fact if a star denied someone a picture i'd be the first to call them sucky

Actually, at the Charlotte, NC in-store signing during the Machina era, one of my friends asked Billy if she could rub his Buddha head, and he said yeah. I thought that was a pretty lame thing to ask, but how was I to stop her?

when i met him in Toronto i was holding my camera but i was way too starstruck to do anything with it and he asked me if i wanted to take his picture.

well the first time i met him was at the minneapolis signing in 2000, so i got his authograph. but the other time i met him i just said hello and shook his hand. :)

yo, yo, yo, yo: I've ALWAYS wondered this since I heard that show. Far be it from me to complain cuz you got to play guitar with the Corgan -- but why'd you pick 1979? Dude, everybody was cheering for Rhino the whole show! I dunno, you're the lucky one and cheers to you. i hate meeting billy after a concert. every time (four i think) i've met him, has been after a show.

"great show tonight, billy." is all i can ever say. how lame.

i'd like to meet him somewhere where a real conversation would have to take place. anything else is just lame. you walk up, shake his hand, get a picture, say thank you, and the next person walks up and does the same.

that's why it sucks that zwan broke up because matt and david were so cool to talk to and hang out with. they'd be more eager to have a beer with you and chill out than to make you remember that they're famous.

hey billy, you look a lot better than what you did last night through my binoculars, car window, and your hotel window. can i please have an autograph and drop of blood?
