i wonder if kids who do not speak or understand any english , listen to the music and lyrics and ever understand what the songs are really about? I mean , if one of my fav. artists wrote in another language , i'd drive me nuts if i couldn't find an (accurate) translation.

Or rather, you gotta wonder if they're missing out on the song's greatness. Because when you take a song like 1979, and you change the "rules" part to be "reference guide," it makes the song sound so fuckin nerdy, lol.

my favorite band are the eraserheads and they are from the philipines. they have an ass load of songs that I do not understand at all. It does drive me nuts sometimes but the music is still great!
I think it even makes listening better because then I truly appreciate the music as art for arts sake instead of listening to it because the lyrics somehow help me "relate" to the artist.

I don't understand a word of Icelandic but I still think sigur ros is a very good band imo. It doesn't drive me nuts not being able to know what they're saying becuase they're just that good.
