smashingjj 08-18-2003, 09:59 AM I record anything on MD. Every time a get a new CD or LP or even when I hear something on the radio or find something on the internet, I record it to my md. It's just the most convenient thing there is.
And thanks, leute.

30 gig hard drive, roughly 7,500 songs can fit in it, so I guess maybe 22,500 minutes? 375 hours? It really depends bitrate of the mp3's cuz that changes how much space it takes up. Right now i have about 1200 songs on it and still have about 23 gb left.
price? um....$499.99.
there are cheaper 10g & 15g versions.
smashingjj 08-18-2003, 11:30 AM the price is the problem. But when those will get cheaper, which probably wil happen, it seems convenient, yes.... Can it copy songs from cd and make an MP3 of it?

naw its the other way around. You make mp3's from a CD first onto your computer, then transfer it to the ipod. oh and by the way, I use a PC not a mac. but if you got an obscene amount of extra money laying around and listen to an obscene amount of music, I'd have to say it's worth it.
smashingjj 08-18-2003, 11:43 AM hm. my md wins it for me.

It's over by three seconds!
Surfer Rosa and Come On Pilgrim are both under forty, though, and they're better, anyway. ;)
Here are a few:
Bad Brains - I Against I
Television - Adventure
PJ Harvey - Dry
The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead
Serge Gainsbourg - Histoire De Melody Nelson
Jeff Beck - Wired
There are really tons, especially when you get into punk.
