View Full Version : I've never seen a dead body
SuckSuckStyle 08-18-2003, 12:20 AM Is that odd? I mean even for living in the U.S? I was thinking about it and in almost every other country, seeing dead people is almost normal. people see dead bodies everyday. It's a part of life for most of the world. who else here hasn't?
Ghetto_Squirrel 08-18-2003, 12:20 AM No funerals?
peabody 08-18-2003, 12:21 AM i've seen lots.
silly Richmond and its high murder rate!
Ihaman 08-18-2003, 12:22 AM I was the last thing an old man saw before being killed.
it was terrible.
Affect 08-18-2003, 12:23 AM I remember once as a child I was driving with my parents. Up ahead there was one police car beginning to tape off the scene of a car wreck. As we drove by, I saw the decapitated and bleeding head of a teenage girl. We actually drove through the flow of blood from the upside down car to the middle of the road.

jesus christ. I don't know...I really can't handle death. I HATE it. it makes me so upset.
a few weeks ago this guy from my school (who i didn't know, but who was good friends with a lot of my good friends) jumped off a freeway overpass and died. I can't drive that part of the freeway anymore without getting the willies.

Explain.
It was in Albuquerque about 6 months ago.
The guy was crossing the street really slowly, the light had already turned green, there was a bigger truck in the middle lane, and the right lane was open...the guy was in front of the truck in the middle lane and began entering the right lane to cross, a bus was going about 40 in that lane and hit him as soon as he walked into the lane, the guy looked RIGHT at me the second before he got hit, he was pretty old, the bus was going pretty fast and im pretty damned sure he died.

Thanks asshole.
sppunk 08-18-2003, 12:29 AM I've covered so many wrecks, murders, house fires, etc. that I've been desensitized by death.
Heads on roads, crisp bodies, limbs chopped off ... it sadly doesn't bother me anymore.
sickbadthing 08-18-2003, 12:30 AM I've never seen one.
You people are sick.

Liar.
Wrong, chief. Half the time, newspaper reporters get on the scene before most of the EMT's.

That is badass.
Injektilo 08-18-2003, 12:34 AM there were only two unarmed guards there too. I coulda thrown a rock through
his crystal case before they coulda done anything to stop me.
Silverstream 08-18-2003, 12:35 AM ive never seen one either.
ping-ping 08-18-2003, 01:05 AM The funeral types put way too much foundation on my grandma AND my grandpop. Looked like 14 year old whores, and everyone stood around saying how good they looked. Tsk tsk.
Salem 08-18-2003, 02:17 AM This thread is depressing:erm:
i've seen ramses the great and some other weird preserved bodies in europe that i can't remember. when i was in new orleans, i saw a dead woman on the sidewalk as police covered up her body. that's about it for me, though.
twilightfadez 08-18-2003, 08:45 AM my grandfather, great-grandmother, i saw my great-aunt die in front of me, and several shot victims as well as traffic accident deaths :(
shutterbugg 08-18-2003, 09:21 AM I find this post a lot less disturbing than the one talking about fucking girls on the rag.
cap'n jazz 08-18-2003, 10:58 AM Eh, I was in the room when my Grandfather stopped breathing and it was pretty scary.
Sean Casey 08-18-2003, 11:10 AM The only dead bodies I've seen are the bodies of those that dare to talk shit to Tasty.
pale blue eyes 08-18-2003, 11:13 AM Some old guy coded in the Vascular Lab while they were doing their test on him. I heard one of the techs yell out 'help' so I ran over there and he was lying on the floor. Apparently, he was what they call a 'no call' which is similar to a do not resusitate (sp?) thing. It was awful, I had just talked to him about five minutes before when transport brought him down. :(
wangcomputers 08-18-2003, 11:26 AM does this count?

Krafty 08-18-2003, 11:38 AM I've never seen a dead body either. I've been to funerals but there's enver been an open casket.

Swuggie83 08-18-2003, 03:33 PM <font color="#0080ff">I've gone to quite a few funerals so far including my great-grandmother, both my grandparents, and my father. I've also seen numerous family pets come and go. I watched my father die the morning of July 22nd this year in a hospital. He had an open casket viewing followed by cremation. Because he died out of state, he had to be embalmed before transport. I don't think my Mom planned for that expense. My parents talked about the most cost-effective way to go since my Dad has been sick for awhile with a terminal disease and we are in soo much debt because of it. The cemetery wants $500 just to bury his ashes...
hell, the worse WOUND i've seen was a small cut my brother got on his face which involved about 5 stitches... that's as close as i've gotten to death.
sheltered much? yeeeaaahh.
