I heard a rumor today by word of mouth that Hum played a show last night (8.16.03) somewhere in Alabama. I haven't had much luck searching the web. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

From what I heard it was just the one show.

From the very first note of Winder (to which I began to jump to) to the very last note of Boy With Stick my heart was completely immersed in the music of Hum. After being a fan for 8 years and never thinking I'd get the chance to see Hum live, this was definitely a dream come true. I got to travel through states that i'd never visited and met a bunch of age old friends from the Hum & Centaur boards. We all stayed at the same hotel for four nights and got to see one of our favorite bands standing next to one another.
One of my favorite moments of the whole trip was driving around Birmingham with a car full of people all singing along to the Scientists.
It was such a magical experience.

(oh and just FYI, hum was paid $40,000 for this one show )
