Subjectively there's so much stuff I like better than the Beasties, but objectively Paul's Boutique is one of the most influential, yadda yadda, hip-hip records. That album could never be made today, what with the fees one has topay for samples now.. it would simply be too expensive to use as many sample layers as were mixed on that record.
