paranoid 08-10-2003, 05:02 PM Lets set the jokes and nagging aside and appreciate D'arcy for what she was.
Let's appreciate her presence, her simplistic but effective approach to her bass parts, her ability to speak out when it was needed. Let's all just give her a big peck on the cheek and say, Darcy, we love. We really really do.

D'arcy needs to stay away from Corgan, she needs to come out with her own shit and stop hiding.

Junebug 08-10-2003, 06:22 PM We're never going to hear anything from her again, I don't think. But still, even though everyone says she had no stage presence and couldn't play the bass to save her life, I still think she had a sizeable influence on the band. That and she never seemed pretentious, to me at least. So here's to D'arcy.

maybe because jimmy is one of the most talented rock drummers in the world and he overcame his addiction. darcy is a talentless white-trash slob; bass players at her level are a dime a dozen, but jimmy is one of a kind.

That, and the Jimmy/smack story has gotten so much attention in the past that bringing it up as a joke now would just seem like overkill. In a way, the D'Arcy crack tale hasnt lost all its charm yet.
