They actually gave Pinkerton a horrible review and Metallica's St. Anger a great one! I think they just have a wheel they spin for ratings anymore instead of actually putting much thought or effort into it.

no, they're hacks and the artists/labels pay for the ratings.

To a extraordinary extent, I tend to believe that the opinions expressed in Rolling Stone and similar publications are directed by the readers, not vice versa.
