another love song, song for the deaf, mosquito song Mosquito song is a bonus track and therefore not *******d in the closing sequence of that disc. Which rocks by the way, like the whole cd of course.
smashingjj 07-29-2003, 10:08 AM and I vote for abbey road as well.

no. the album ends with the song so it's part of the ending sequence.

no. the album ends with the song so it's part of the ending sequence. the last song on the tracklist is A Song for the Deaf. It's the closer of the album and that's exactly what it sounds like. if you want to play it your way, Everybody's Gonna Be Happy is the closer, because that's track no. 15, at least on my version.

AndItsAllGone 07-29-2003, 01:35 PM I'm going to throw in another vote for The Moon and Antarctica, as well as the following:
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
"Oh Comely" --> "Ghost" --> Untitled --> "Two-Headed Boy, pt. 2"
Bright Eyes - Lifted
"From a Balance Beam" --> "Laura Laurent" --> "Let's Not Shit Ourselves"
Simon and Garfunkel - Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme
"For Emily, Wherever I May Find Her" --> "A Poem on the Underground Wall" --> "7 O'Clock News/Silent Night"
jczeroman 07-29-2003, 01:37 PM Fellowship of the Ring Soundtrack

Enzed 07-29-2003, 04:25 PM Queen - A Night At The Opera (God Save The Queen)
Queen - A Day At The Races (Brian May's guitar staircase thing that matches the beginning)
Pearl Jam - Ten (Master/Slave)
Ghetto_Squirrel 07-29-2003, 06:39 PM NUMERO UNO...
Joy Division: Twenty-four Hours -> Eternal -> Decades (which is probably the best ending song I can think of)
Aphex Twin: 10B-12B on Selected Ambient Works, Vol. 2
Either of the Ours albums. I'm such an Ours whore that it's ridiculous. Sorry for being predictable.
NIN: No You Don't -> La Mer -> The Great Below
Nimrod's Son 07-29-2003, 06:57 PM Dark Side of the Moon
REM - So Fast, So Numb > Low Desert > Electrolite
SP - Night Mare > For Martha > Blank Page > 17

Also, Dark Side of the Moon is awesome.
I like:
Leonard Cohen - The Future : Light As A Breeze ->Always ->Tacoma Trailer
Smiths - Hatful of Hollow : Back to the old house ->Reel around the fountain -> Please, please please, let me get what I want
Whenever I make mix tapes or get them from friends and lovers ;) I pay special attention to the endings, I think it's really neat to try to get a good sequence going, preferably converying some message or other :)

This really isn't an album ending, though, is it? You still have a whole other disc to trudge through.
Kid A: Motion Picture Soundtrack- Genchildren
that's only because of MPS's last line of "I will see you in the next life" thematically fits in with the electronic instrumental genchildren- bringing into persepctive the bands change in musical direction. Whatever. MCIS was already mentioned. :eyesp:

Ehhhhh.
Ehhhhhhhhh. I dunno. It does sound kind of neat. But you know. It's just. Not a song. and it scares me when I wake up to it in the middle of the night.

It's an asterisk case, though, since SCaM originally didn't ******* the AFS single. But that's the standard CD version, so I'm counting it. Not really an album either, but at eight tracks, whatever.
BillyPilgrim 08-02-2003, 05:25 PM Haven't been on netphoria for a while, and almost never this board, but I had to mention The Who By Numbers
They are all in Love>Blue Red and Gray>How Many Friends>In a Hand or a Face
Ramblings of an alcoholic? sure, but brilliant nonetheless. the band kind of imploded afterwards, but i think this is an underraed album (except squeezebox, i guess they needed something a little silly)
