I used to hang in alt.music.smashing-pkins back in the day. Then they went and changed the name. I was devastated.

That is an awesome thread. I've always wondered why they went with the name the way they did.

I think alt.music.pumpkins would have been the best option though.

For the past 7 years of my live; 9 times out of 10, my internet usage involved the Pumpkins. Crazy.
