History was made with the release of Siamese Dream, perhaps the most brilliant album of the early 90's. Happy Birthday

it's wonderful, but the "best album of the early 90's" crown has to be shared with a host of other albums.

IMO, only OK Computer could claim to be on par with it, in terms of being years ahead of its time. The actual sound of it (in terms of production) is awesome as well, and I've yet to hear a better guitar sound than Cherub Rock.
I felt Nevermind was hugely overrated (Gish was better), and SD has dynamics for each instrument that actually makes it exciting, as opposed to nu-metal for instance where it's heavier but the same beat through it.
Like Billy/b0lly said, the pumpkins had that ability to push and pull with power that no other rock band had.
