... for a new account to be activated?

I registered a new username a few days ago, and I still haven't gotten an email with activation instructions. I was just wondering whether a bot sends it, or whether a new username must be approved first by an admin (hence a longer waiting time).

yep, sounds like an email problem.

if by chance you're using hotmail or some other service with a spam filter...check on that, i know my hotmail sends phoria mail to the junk bin.

hmm - I just opened up an email account on care2.com

it has a bunch of filters and stuff, but by default they're all disabled.

my alias accounts have all been activated immediately.
