It's amazing how Christians can connect anything to their God.. And it's amazing how they can force their beliefs onto others without feeling the least bit guilty about disrespecting their choice of religion..

A Christian reviews Tool's Lateralus. I know it not Pumpkins, but it's along the same lines as the link above.

You people are dumb. There's nothing remotely hardcore Christian in there; it's not like he called Corgan the Great Satan. He simply says that if you relate to the ideas of the song--which ARE ideas of desperation, the sort of quasi-trite, depressing lyrics Billy can knock off in ten minutes without thinking about them--then maybe you should try religion. It's done tastefully and respectfully.

Or are all of you just blatantly anti-religious and intolerant of anybody who chooses to believe in a higher power?

my favorite part is the anti-pumpkin prayer:

"Jesus:

I do feel trapped in a cage. I believe that you can set me free, and that you want to do it.

I open myself to you. I invite you to enter my experience, and to begin to break my cage.

Give me strength to be your follower from this day on--to learn from you and to obey you in all things.

Thank you for your love. Amen "

Its amazing how idiots can stereotype an entire religion because of an incredibly small percentage of them.

i just think its so amazing that he could sit down and take the song so seriously and then feel that we all feel caged and somehow he needs to free us all at the end with the same message all these bapstists (i live in the bible belt, i know what im talking about) give us of "just say yes and your auto-saved" as if we dont hear that stuff everyday. but i live under a rock and never hear any of this stuff and i only look to corgan's ramblings to find peace because im only a teen and obviously lost. i should write a song about how i could use an extra $50 and see if he will send me it, or he would just get the feeling i take money over my soul (because im a teen and naturally an idiot, remember?) and write some boring and overdrawn lecture about how riches on earth are less important than riches in heaven.

i'm sure most people understood your point.

"When a religion is good, I conceive it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not take care to support it so that its professors are obliged to call for help of the civil power, 'tis a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one." -- Benjamin Franklin

Thank you nice person!!!..*hugs you*.. Oh.. and I'd replace 'most' with either 'some' or something that describes a small small group of people..
