there was a thing on vh1 about movie moments in movies with songs and the director said they were suppose to use a smashing pumpkins song "to sheila" but the deal fell through, and they flashed a picture of billy from TAFH booklet. He went on to say that they found that counting crows song. so originally whenever you hear that counting crow song it was suppose to be to sheila

just a random bit of completely useless info.

mhm, well, they create a similar mood, but i think the counting crows song fits better.....but it would have helped the pumpkins a lot i think...

That song goes on for about two minutes, it's quite lengthy. The songs starts off when Ryan Phillipe and Reese Witherspoon make out then the song continues through their fuck-scene. I dunno how appropriately To Sheila would have fit, but it still would have been cool.

Rent the DVD, put it on mute, and play Adore. Report back to us at 0800.

You know what?

Crestfallen would had been a better choice than To Sheila in my book! Even better than Colorblind from the Counting Crows...

Actually in the director commentary from the movie, the director said that To Shiela was originally in there, the lead singer of the Counting Crows saw a advance screening of the movie and went home and wrote Colorblind that night, the director liked it and wound up putting it in. Don't ask me why i know this...

well they should have kept To Sheila... maybe not for the elevator scene though..

and I still say that Crestfallen would had been a better choice than colorblind!
