NEW YORK (Reuters) – It has been announced that former smashing pumpkins guitarist, James Iha, is to join the reputable super group “Z Z Top”. This unprecedented collaboration between this alternative rock artist and the Texan blues-rock trio is said to send shakes through the music industry.
It seems a slight tension was evident in the band:
“hell, we weren’t sure if this was such a hot idea in the beginnin” said Billy Gibbons (Z Z Top), “the kid ain’t got no beard!”

Their upcoming single “Lovin’ more Lovin” is classed a tribute to one of Z Z tops hits, “Gimme All Your Lovin'” .
James Iha had this to say: “I’ve always admired ‘Z-Z’. They were groovy. I liked their sense of fashion.. but it was only until I heard their hit ‘Cheap Sunglasses’ I said to myself, ‘this is the band for me.’ This band is quite different. I get to eat a lot, and I’ve stopped shaving!”
“Lovin more Lovin’” is out 3rd of August.
