attagirl!

I’d like to add:

Transformers (tell me this doesn’t rule. "The evil forces of -- THE DECEPTACONS!!!")

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (I don’t watch the show but this theme rawks and gets really crazy at the end)

The Simpsons (very discordant and wacky like the show itself)

Family Guy (fucking great musical opener. So big and huge.)

G.I. Joe (this is burned into my brain)

The Incredible Hulk credits theme (ie. The “sad walking away music”)

The Fresh Prince of Bell-Air (YO HOME TO BELL-AIR!!)

Malcom in the Middle (Really fits with the tone of the show. The visuals mesh perfectly)

Family Matters (Real love bursting out of every seams!)

Star Trek (those cheesy “Ooooohhhhhh ooooohhhhhssss!!” are what do it for me)

The Jeffersons (So damn catchy)

All in the Family (Ballsy for being so bad. They’re very brave to have Archie and his wife sing each week.)

Happy Days (Fucking classic. A pox on those who say differently, a pox I say!)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. (this one would send me into hysterics as a kid)

Spider-Man (friggin’ burned into pop culture collective consciousness to this day for a reason.)

Incredible Hulk (original cartoon. “HULK! HULK! HULK!”)

Comic Strip (all I remember about this show is the theme song: C-O-M-I-C! S-T-R-I-P! Come on and take a clip down the comic strip!”)

and Enterprise. Wait, by Enterprise I meant “Theme song that makes me want to rip my ears out”. Which sucks cuz its such a nice credit sequence too.

Though if I DID have to pick the best TV theme song ever the winner is Growing Pains.

the inspector gadget theme totally rocks out, especially the "Go Gadget Go!" part. I could easily listen to a 3 minute version of it all the time.

I saw the Breeders play Buffy twice live. I never saw te show, but the song rocks.

I assume you mean the David Banner Hulk piano music?

It's Yo Holmes, to Bel-Air.

Star Trek had 2 themes - te aaaa aaaaah one, and one that ws instrumental (same song). The chorus was better.

Happy Days had 2 themes - Rock Around the Clock and the "Sunday Monday Happy Days" one.

Have you heard the Ramones' Spider-Man?

Do you mean this Hulk or the 80's one:
Doc Bruce Banner
Pelted by gamma rays
Turned into the Hulk
Aint he unglamorous
Wreckin' the town with
The power of a bull
Ain't no monster clown
Who is as loveable
As ever-lovin' Hulk! Hulk! Hulk!
This was only good because the lyrics are so fucking bad. Unglamorous? Monster clown?

Sometimes the world looks perfect
Nothin' to rearrange
Sometimes you just
Get a feelin' like you need some kind of change
Standin' tall
On the wings of my dream
Rise and fall
On the wings of my dream
Rain and thunder, the wind and haze
I'm bound for better days
It's my life
It's my dream
Nothin's gonna stop me now.

I first started watching the Kids in the Hall for the theme song: "Having an Average Weekend" - Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet.

I dunno, probably. The really sad piano music when he wasn't Hulk, so yeah. I want that music to play whenever I leave a room. that would rule.

That makes alot more sense but "Yo home to Bell-Air" was the lyric I've been hearing in my head since I was a kid.

Yeah, it rawks but i need to hear it again.

Awesome! I love that song CUZ its so bad!! The first time I saw the show they play that theme song, like, durring every bumper to the ads so I kept watching it again and again just to hear that horrible song again. Thanks for the MP3 I'm gonna play it, like, all day now.

I'd also like to toss in my own vote for: FAT ALBERT if nobody's mentioned that. "HEY HEY HEY!! I'm GONNA SING A SONG FOR YOUUUUUU!!!"

Even though I'm a huge South Park geek I'm not gonna throw that in there cuz the theme is not that good. The season 6 and 7 remixes of the theme were a little better though. Its odd that thier theme song is so sub-par when you compare it to how good the music in BLU was.

Come and knock on our door ...
We've been waiting for you ...
Where the kisses are hers and hers and his,
Three's company too.

Come and dance on on our floor...
Take a step that is new ...
We've a loveable space that needs your face,
Three's company too.

You'll see that life is a frolic and laughter is calling for you ...
Down at our rendez-vous,
Three's company, too!

Absolutely Fabulous!! hehe

Pete & Pete (ahhh...the days of grunge rock pop-culture and flannel...)

These are some of the themes* I have actually have downloaded** on a an MP3 CD right now:

-Knight Rider
-Benny Hill
-Tomorrow People (70's version, not the Nickelodeon one)
-The Prisoner
-Secret Agent Man
-Blackadder IV (closing)
-Blake's 7
-Space:1999 (the first season acid rock/disco/funk romp...completely inappropriate for sci-fi but what the hell)
-Remington Steele (second season)
-The Secret Life of Machines (jazz theme for a quirky educational program)
-Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
-The Electric Company
-Doctor Who (original)
-Rainbow (hippy shit)
-Red Dwarf

*I download full-length versions of the themes whenever possible...not just the shortened versions used for the intro
**SHUT UP. I AM FULLY AWARE OF THE FACT THAT I AM A DORK.

And I was wondering when someone would make mention of 60 Minutes...looks like I got beaten to the punch. :(
(I watch it every Sunday. I also look forward to checking the mail, and maintain proper fiber balance in my diet.)

THEY'RE THE WORLD'S MOST FEARSOME FIGHTER TEAM
THEY'RE HEROES IN A HALF-SHELL AND THEY'RE GREEN
WHEN THE EVIL SHREDDER ATTACKS
THESE TURTLE BOYS WON'T CUT HIM NO SLACK

At least I think that's how the last line goes. It's been a while.

I recall the phrase "turtle power!" peppered throughout the verse.
