it should be "best"

and seeing as I've only seen tool and a perfect circle...i'd say a perfect circle, because the tool show I saw blew ass.

If I had put best everyone would be arguing "but Radiohead is teh best!!!1!" or whatever band they wanted to throw into the mix.

i mean grammatically "better" is wrong.

'cause you're talking about more than 2 things.

Iv not actually seen any of them live, though most id like to and im seeing the chilis and the foos in august.

However iv seen lots of live vids of janes addiction chilis+foos.

Chilis seem very cool and very tight performers, not very good at the whole talking to the audience thing, i cant keep a straight face at anything john flea or chad say in interviews cos they are kinda loveable but kiedis is just bland, and he seems to do the talking live! :(

Dave Grohl says 'YEAH!' far too much during songs :)

Janes Addiction seem absolutely mesmerising.

I pick the Janes their music seems so 'live band' ish, if you know what i mean.

Just my dumb opinions :)

uh. not really. i think you can say "pick the better band" because it's an abbreviation for "pick the band that is better than the other bands."

The only one I HAVEN'T seen live is APC - and it does depend on the tour, too. Was RHCP 1991 better than when I saw them Last year? Maybe. Pearl Jam 1995 or 1998? Foos 2003 or 1998?

I'm going for Pazza Jazza.:erm

APC is no arena band, Janes and RHCP would be up there if this were the early/mid 90's, and I don't care for PJ or the Foo.

So Tool (who I ended up seeing 7 times on that last tour).

He got pretty into it the first show I saw.

I guess it just depends on his mood.

(He still stayed in the back...but he was rather energetic.)

I know that RHCP sucked live when i saw them in 1999, so, that rules them out.

Foo Fighters

but if I could add a write in vote I'd choose Green Day.

Janes

Farrell is an amazing showman ... I liken him to Freddie Mercury or something - only slightly less camp with better songs

I wanted to go that Missisauga show but couldn’t get it together in time. Also I wasn’t sure if it was sold out or not anyway.

I only saw them live that one time at Summersault in Barrie but I thought they were the best band there. Dave Ghorl taking the mic out into the crowd singing “My Hero” against the sunset was one of my best memories of that day.

I've heard Tool is great...but I sincerely doubt they are better live than Pearl Jam. As far as arena rock goes, there isn't ANYBODY better than Pearl Jam.
