MCIS is badly recorded. If that is true, I don't get the point to encode it to HDCD.

it's a bootleg. the seller is also selling a U2 1980-2002 Best of Gold Edition cd. There is no such thing. He's also selling another U2 cd that's a knock off. Wouldn't you think if they were going to release an HDCD version of MCIS, we would hear about it before some yahoo sells it on ebay?

yeah, mcis is one of those albums that actually sounds worse to me through headphones. it's weird. through speakers, it sound fine, but when i can hear every little sound and have it perfectly separated in left and right channels, it sound kind of awkward sometimes.
anyway, my question is this: how can this version be superior to any other commercially available version? wouldn't it have been sourced from a regular commercial cd? i somehow doubt that an asian bootlegger would have access to the studio masters to take advantage of this super-secret 20-bit hdcd technology. just wondering.
