so the placebo show in toronto last night was AMAZING, so much fucking energy as usual, i remember the following: bulletproof cupid, allergic, centerfolds, teenage angst, WYIN, taste in men, english summer rain, black eyed, slave to the wage, the bitter end, plasticine, speical needs, pure morning, i'll be yours and their cover of where is my mind... but the highlight of the day was most definately walking into loblaws before the show and seeing the boys just shopping... i went up to steve to say hi and he asked me if i would help him find the "maagahhreeene" so i showed him where it was.. i helped him find stefan, and he had a nice loaf of bread.. he told me it had better have fibre because his "stool has been irregular" brian just walked by and laughed and said he'd see everyone inside.. but yeah, they're all fucking amazing guys, SO nice, and hilarious.

what's their new stuff sound like? is brian going bald? what's plasticine (the word)? the only other place i've heard it is in a lyric of a cyclefly song, a band that occasionally gets compared to placebo

You have good luck with meeting Placebo. i know! the girl i was with dropped her purse trying to catch up with brian on the escalator, so i'm standing there talking to him and she's stuck behind some old man with a big cart shouting "DAMN YOU" at me

thanks for replying. does the political stance surface in the songs, or just onstage?

p.s. isn't it hard to look like a woman when you're going bald?

What's that sound like? pretty good actually.. brian introduced it as "a song from a large man with a large repitore... black francis.. this is the pixies, where is my miiiiind" the band really got into it, clapping and dancing around and shit.
