View Full Version : How do you store you shows?

I tried using slim line jewel cases but I have gotten to the point where this is no longer the logical thing to do - I have way too many shows. So for a while I put them all in old CD spindles but am looking for a better solution. Any suggestions?

They rule. I have one 208 and three 264s. I recommend them highly.

i was using slimline cd cases at one point and then decided to move on. I now use caselogic cd sleeves put in a CD box. That one isn't full yet.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I was thinking of going with one of those huge wallets but they're pretty expensive so I'll probably go with the sleeves since I have a shitload already.

They are very compact. I have one of those plastic drawers but it takes up too much space. :)

I put all my mastered audio disc and SHN and flac CDRs in case logic binders...I store all my raw transfered disc in spindles. Pretty soon everything is going to spindles though...takes up way less space.

Ditto. I'm use spindles temporarily, but I'd like to move on to something else. Something where I have easy access to shows and have them take up as little space as possible. I mean, I love to put them all in jewel cases, but A) I can't afford it, and B) I can't afford the space it would take up.

I use a big sort of container, similar to distance's ... and they are all in those CD sleeves as well. I find its the easiest, most economical way to store CDs...that way, you don't have to get tons of cases and have it take up lots of room...

i *did* use the caselogic 256 until it got stolen about a month ago.

i hope that fucker hoped to pawn the cds when he stole them, i would have liked to have seen his face when he opened it and saw nothing but pumpkins and zwan live shows.

the thing that really pisses me off is that i had a book to go along with them - it was a slim 3 ring folder that held my customised text files.

for example:

on my 10-5-88, i had a number one on the bottom of the cd. go to page one in the book, and there's the setlist, cool notes about the show, and reminders why i like this show. (this performance of spiteface kicks ass!) it really gets helpful when you have the whole adore tour and you are trying to find that *one* performance of pug that you like, and so on.

It's best to have them in a cd tower - in this way everyone can see them and think you're leet.

I tried putting them in a CD tower but it just starting to take up way too much room, and it was such a bitch to take them back and forth to school. I think I will just get a few of those cases and drag them back and forth.

I've also gone the route of binders. 2 208's for my SP shows, and 1 128 for zwan/mogwai.

Then I've got a 128 for pc games, and another 128 for mp3s, movies, and ps2 games. Hehe. I've got a 48 for my Deep Space Nine collection, and a couple 32s for travelling.

I used to keep all mine on a big ass bookshelf I had.

As for now, they're all sitting in a box they're probably not going to leave for quite some time (most of my stuff is in storage), waiting for me to move.

I use regular jewel cases, sometimes 2cd ones when I can find them cheap, but my bootlist ain't that big.
