can anyone give me a hand (or point out a sitewith help ) to transfer MD to HD

i want to get music off minidisc onto pc edit the levels and stuff and burn it.

i am a computer dunce so any help in baby language is appreciated! partcularly in programs to capture and alter the tunes..
