The first time I heard that song I was filled with horror at the new techno pumpkins. It took me a while to get over it.

10... especially when it gets to the "Please, don't change..." part.

Pug is great. I think Behold! The Nightmare is the very best song on Adore. I think right now Adore is my favorite Pumpkins album. I'm even starting to like Annie-Dog and Blank Page.

ever heard a little song by the name of "shame"???

terrible.

and adore is my favorite sp album...but that song (until about the 5:00 mark) is just plain bad...why couldn't billy have played "pug" or "crestfallen" or something like that instead of that shit at the last concert...or maybe billy's heard of a little song called "behold the nightmare"...jesus

maybe a 6 or 7. I'm still not a big fan of "Adore"

I tend to shift between thinking it's awesome and thinking it's so-so. But I first thought it kinda sucked, so.

Good song, but only average when put on a record as good as Adore. Worse than To Sheila, Tear, Shame, Nightmare, Blank Page, and the 20 seconds of For Martha you all know and love.

i gave it a 7. i hated it when i first got adore, then i loved it, and now i'm somewhere in the middle.

but like all of the other songs from adore, it balances out technology and timelessness in a beautiful way.

On Adore...my second favorite song next to Behold! The Nitemare. Live...especially during the 2000 S+P tour completely rocks me.

pretty rockin live, was at its peak in the Arising! shows. still a little odd to hear on the album, actually.

fun to play, though. Tune down the B string to an A ala Muzzle, crank up the distortion, snarl alot and pretend you're wearing a dress. very fun, esp. the pretending to wear a dress part.

Definatly a 10! i was never afraid of any of the adore songs when i first heard about them. I knew billy was being sarcastic when he said "techo" pumpkins..I've always thought that Billy (for lack of a better phrase) completly took his songwriting, music, and just overall everything as a band to a totally new level. It was amazing. To this day adore is definatly one of the essential albums in my collection and I completly appreciate each and every song inside of it..I think it's a true masterpeice. I wonder if Billy has any idea of how appreciated and loved and what a true favorite it's become to a lot of the fans despite the backlash during the time? As far as pug the best part is the "where it's warm wrap myself in you" music and then back into the darknewss with the chorus!

It's definitely my favorite song from Adore, which now with some hindsight I do see to be somewhat ahead of its time. I was initially shocked that such songs were a product of the Pumpkins--which did give me quite a bias against it--although now that I look at Adore in the broader scope of music, free of that bias, I can appreciate the alblum for what it is. And I like Appels + Oranges.
