Matrix Times Six?

April 14, 2003 - Today we're bringing you news on Enter the Matrix and it's not about the 14 different gameplay maneuvers available to the player, or the release of a game demo, or how you hack the console in-game. No, we here at IGN bring you the most up to date information that counts -- info on the packaging of the brand new Shiny Entertainment title based on the Matrix franchise. Yup, we here at IGN understand that to some, it's size that matters…

Take a look at the information gathered from a European Infogrames Representative while at SCoRE 2003:

GameCube, Xbox and Playstation 2 Releases of Enter the Matrix will be duplicated and manufactured as a 2-disc product.

PC version of Enter the Matrix will be a 6-disc product packaged in a double-DVD styled case.

Can you PC gamers cope with a 6-disc version? Guess what? It'll cost "more," too. Infogrames reps didn't bust out the specifics, but we do know the PC version will be somewhat pricier than its console counterparts. So, can you cope? It looks like you'll have to. Time to clear up your games rack, I guess. The game is now only one month away from its May 15th, 2003 worldwide release. Is this the future for high-content PC games over the next couple of years? We'll see.
