I just crossed the rubicon into SEVEN. THOUSAND. POSTS.

Which means I obviously accumulated enough knowledge to answer each and every doubt ever about anything or anyone without being wrong ever again.

So ask away, there will be no unanswered questions and unsatisfied posters.

Let's do this.
Don't be gentle.

why did you have to use the expression "to cross the rubicon"?
i find it inappropriate. first of all because the meaning doesn't seem to apply to having posted 7,000 times. there isn't much rubicon about that. but also because on here, it's a clear reference to luke's last thread.

LaBelle
07-24-2017, 08:03 AM
It's a common idiom that means crossing a point of no return, an arbitrary post number certainly fits the bill.

I had no idea of the Luke connection and meant no disrespect.

on a scale of 10 to 10, how awesome is your life?

be honest

LaBelle
07-24-2017, 08:17 AM
Oh man, that's tough. My first instinct is to say it's a 10, but also I feel that's unfair, so I could be humble and say it's a 10, but then again that's kinda insencere, so realistically I think it ends up hovering around a 10.

I agree that they don't have a purpose.

Don't think they should go extinct tho, that would be sad.

No, it's sizeable even when flaccid.

Please explain your ontological outlook in a well-developed paraghraph.

I believe the ontological debate to be only useful in an academic level, using the notion that God is "a being than which no greater can be conceived" as a basis, it makes logical sense. Since we can prove beings can exist (we exist) and that for the sake of argument existing is a greater state than not existing, therefore God must exist since his non existence would prove the statement false because a greater being could be conceived.
However such debate can lead one to logically state that God does exist we still can't seem to find proof that he does in fact exist.

Dogfighter28

Since we can prove beings can exist (we exist)

Can we? Do we?

LaBelle
07-24-2017, 04:26 PM
Can we? Do we?

Well for any argument we have to assume that our current state of being is existence, whether that is entirely actually true is another matter. It is however, for the sake of argument, theoretically true.

Well long story short, I found out my gf had been cheating on me for pretty much the entire time we've been back together (by her own admission after I caught a very suspect exchange on her phone and kept questioning her about it).

I'm still feeling pretty shitty about it, but in a weird way it feels more like confirmation of a few worries that have stuck with me during our time together, so it's not as bad as it could've been, idk.

Yes I am brazilian.
I loved english from a young age, and as I got into music my preferences gravitated towards american bands and I wanted to learn what they were singing about.

So I took additional english classes during all my time in school and high school.

You were pretty spot on.

when do you believe you will hit 14,000 posts?

2038

what are 3 great books you have read?

Dracula, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Call of the Wild

what is the most serious physical injury you have suffered?

I burned my arm in a gas heater explosion. It was letting out more gas than it should so when I went to light it with a match it exploded on me. Treatment involved cutting off the bubbling skin with scissors a few times until it stopped bubbling. Nowadays I barely have any visible marks because of it. My right hand is slightly frecklier.

are you proficient in the use of any weapons? if so, which weapons?

Nope

what would you like to be doing for a living when you are 38 years old?

I wanna be the head producer in my own production office. Working with documentary film projects.

do you if you could choose to be born 800 years ago, or to make no changes to when you were born, which do you think would yield a better life for you personally and why?

I don't think i'd do all that well with an arranged marriage or a peasant life in the 1200s so I'd make no changes as to when I was born.

do they have cocoa pebbles in grocery stores in brazil?

Not the same as in the US. But we have similar cocoa cereals from local brands.
