I think you all should embrace Shorter Typology. And I think you should take the test and post your scores like people on other forums have. I think it would give this place a purpose and this place would cease to be the nihilistic depraved environment that it is. There are some very sick troubled people on here.

And I think you should take the test and post your scores like people on other forums have.

when i search for your name on google, i mostly find forum threads where people are asking you pertinent questions about the scientific validity of your model, which you routinely ignore.

one person asked

How is your paradigm any better at description or prediction or management than extant models, such as the five factor model among others? What objective research has validated the orthogonality of these types? What measurements are used to operationalize them?

if anyone is to believe this is a good predictive model for anything, you need to show your work. you claim that your assessment neatly compartmentalizes various mental disorders into these three archetypes, but you don't support this with any experimental data. ever. not once in the 5+ years you've been peddling this assessment.

i'm sorry, mr shorter. your shit lacks scientific rigor and is about as useful as a tarot card reading. i asked you about it in the other thread because i was hoping you'd say you had abandoned this pursuit, because you don't seem to have any interest in doing it correctly.

There are plenty of Myers Briggs forums and typology central forums and philosophy forums where people have taken the test and posted their scores. I wouldn't have mentioned that if it wasn't the case. Just google shorter typology.

I've done some field testing through Myers Briggs forums and I think netphoria would be a great place to continue field testing

and how do you relate those results to dsm criteria

Catherine Wheel

The test questions were influenced by the DSM. I've already established a rubric / threshold score with the field testing.

and yet you equate syndromes that are dynamically different from one another under the same archetypes. for example, asperger's and bipolar disorder. btw, asperger's was removed from the DSM-5 and you should stop using it in a scientific context

I'm still submitting a proposal to do university field testing. I'm still going through universities but I also have a threshold score that I mention in the proposal.

also "codependency" and "sociopathy" are not DSM disorders

field testing is not a thing. i'd love to see your 'proposal'. who are you submitting this proposal to?

you don't even know what validity is. your first step to proving validity would probably be to show concurrent validity. feel free to google what that means.

Catherine Wheel

I know what validity is. I'm working on this with a child psychiatrist and he has explained it to me and he's helping me with the proposal.

there are entire university courses on validity. there are also about a dozen forms of it.

explain to me concurrent validity and what you would do to prove it with your system
