Kids can be really cool. They tend to make friends easy and are wild and stuff. But then there are the kids who throw rocks at my head for fun (lol?). Not so cool. And I remember being bullied as a kid. By another kid (he's now a super successful minister btw). Kids can also fuck off and die. It all depends.

I've heard a lot of middle aged parents drone on and on about their kids and how they don't understand what's "wrong with kids these days." When people have kids they seem to forget what it was like to be a kid.

The most common parental bitching topic on FB is how all kids are snowflakes because of participation medals. I had to tell one of my oldest friends recently that way back in the 70s we also got participation medals for all kinds of stupid things we did in school. Fucking idiots.

Sometimes kids try to run in front of my car when I'm driving to my apartment and also they make a lot of noise in the adjacent park but that one doesn't bother me as much as not wanting to commit vehicular manslaughter

How and where you raise a child can make a big difference. Kids in this town walk around on the sidewalks and ride bikes and are always at the park nearby. Where I grew up there was a development called "top of the world" and it takes up like half the space that my town does and there's a park just for the residents there and no one is ever there. There's no traffic in the spaghetti like s dead end streets but nobody goes there except sometimes bored teenagers. I always wanted to live somewhere more rough and free and I'm happy that the lifestyle shows in the way other people use the town.
