Jerry is Dick Van Dyke's younger brother and probably best known as the obnoxious guy on the show Coach. It says on his Wikipedia he was offered the role of Gilligan on Gilligan's Island and then later offered the role of Don Knott's replacement on The Andy Griffith Show and he turned both of them down. How the fuck does that happen? Was he holding out hoping something better would come along? Imagine how his career would have gone if he had done that. That's practically career suicide.
